Connect Klaviyo to SiteOps
A DTC brand's audience usually already lives in Klaviyo — the flows, the lists, the segments built over years. Asking them to rebuild all of that somewhere else is exactly the kind of work that never happens, so the brand stays where its list is. That's the wall VitalRoot and every Klaviyo shop hit.
Connecting Klaviyo to SiteOps means you don't move anything. One private key lights two channels — email and SMS both send through Klaviyo — and the lists and segments you already curate there appear as audiences you can pick by name in sequences and one-off sends. Your Klaviyo stays the home of your audience; SiteOps just plans and books against it.
Every send rides the same queue as everything else — behind the trust dial you set for each channel, nothing leaving without the approval level you chose. Two honest notes: SMS through Klaviyo is regulated and paid per message, and you'll verify your sending domain so email lands. SiteOps only ever sends what you approved.

If something does not work
- My lists don't show up as audiences
- Check the connection reads Connected, the key has read scope, and the lists live in the same Klaviyo account you connected. A key missing the read scope will send but show no audiences.
- Email sends but lands in spam
- This is almost always an unverified or misconfigured sending domain. Finish domain verification in Klaviyo (SPF, DKIM, a branded sending domain) — SiteOps sends through Klaviyo, so Klaviyo's authentication is what mailboxes check.
- SMS won't send
- US SMS through Klaviyo needs its messaging registration cleared first — a one-time carrier review. Until it's through, texts don't deliver. Email is unaffected; it sends the moment the key and domain are set.
- Does SiteOps change my Klaviyo flows?
- No — deliberately. SiteOps reads your lists and sends what you approved; it never edits a flow, a segment or a profile. Your Klaviyo automations stay exactly as you built them.
- Can I use Klaviyo for audiences but send through another mailer?
- Yes. Klaviyo can be the audience source while the actual send goes through whichever provider you've set under “Sends go through” — Klaviyo contributes who, your chosen mailer contributes how.
