Connect AppLovin to SiteOps
AppLovin is one of the biggest mobile in-app ad networks: its ads run inside games and apps as rewarded videos, interstitials and banners. The advertiser side is called AppDiscovery and lives at dash.applovin.com — a much plainer dashboard than Meta's or Google's, built around one job: getting apps installed.
That last part matters, so here it is straight: AppLovin's home turf is app installs. If your product has a mobile app, it can be a remarkably efficient channel. If you only promote a website, its clicks tend to be cheap but casual — start with Google, Meta or TikTok and come back when there is an app to push.
Connecting it to SiteOps puts mobile spend next to your other three networks in the Ads view. The connection is one pasted key — AppLovin issues a report key that lets outside tools read campaigns and spend — and SiteOps is honest about what mobile targeting can and cannot do once you are in.

If something does not work
- I connected but the Ads view is empty
- Three usual causes: the account has never spent (nothing to report is not an error), billing is not set up so campaigns cannot deliver, or the key belongs to a different account than the one with campaigns. Also give the first import a few minutes after connecting.
- I cannot find the report key
- It lives under Account, then Keys, in the AppLovin dashboard. If that page is missing for you, your login is not an admin on the account — the key is only shown to admin roles.
- Why can't I target interests like on Meta?
- Because there is nothing to read. Inside a game there is no profile, no likes, no browsing history — the network knows roughly who the player is and where they are, and that is it. Age and geo carry over from your audience; beyond that, the creative and the placement do the targeting.
- My ads show up in apps I would never choose
- That is how a network buy works — inventory spans thousands of apps and games. Narrow it with placements: rewarded video only, for instance, skips the cheap banner corners. If a placement performs badly, turn it off rather than fighting individual apps.
- I regenerated the key and the connection broke
- Regenerating invalidates the old key immediately — that is the point. Paste the new one into SiteOps settings and the connection comes back.
